It was with great satisfaction that in 2006 the company wrote its Carta Etica towards which all personnel contributed. It stands as an incentive for a reflection on professional values so as to create good inter-personal relations and a pleasant and gratifying working environment.

"Davines group is not aiming to be the biggest company in the world, but it is aiming to be the most beautiful and ethical as well, thanks to everyone’s commitment," said Davide Bollati – the company’s president – at a meeting in 2006 in which the Carta Etica book was given to all employees.

The Carta Etica – loosely translated as Code of Conduct or Ethical Chart – was inspired, in part, by a concept of beauty drawing on an ancient philosophy that unmistakably likens "beautiful" with "good". Working with a philosophical counsellor over several months, Davines’ employees came up with a collection of professional values concerning behaviour and ethics at work and how small gestures in everyday life can improve the working environment.

The Carta Etica values include: communication, sharing, cosmopolitan relationships, responsibility, respect, equilibrium, involvement, courtesy, constructive spirit, excellence, unity, spirit of initiative and beauty. The Carta Etica has become fundamental to our vision of beauty and we work daily to make sure this assemblage of common values is "echoed" in the quality of Davines’ products and services. We hope, too, that this echo permeates the lives of our partners and customers.

In view of its respect for the environment, since May 2006 the company has been a supporter of the Lifegate Energy project and uses energy solely from renewable sources.
